Thinking about Zosime; about her xiphos being used to fight her own Father during the Percy v. Ares battle. Thinking about her yelling, demanding Percy drop her weapon, that he can fight her Father but he cannot fight him with her xiphos—

So she shoves her Soul into the blade and forces it to shatter— and shatters parts of her Spirit and her chance to return to the Afterlife with it.

Thinking about Eilah, a HTTYD OC; Valka was a lonely child, she prayed to the Gods for a friend. Frigg heard her prayers and created a living being from the mud, creating a gollum, a friend; Eilah.

Eilah sticks around, story implanted in her mind is that she’s a washed up daughter of a merchant. Becomes good friends with Stoic and Valka and others; saves Valka from being snatched up by a dragon in their teens, gets snatched instead.

Basically Hiccup’s Godmother he never had a chance to meet, until I think it’d be either in RTTE or between the Second and Third movies. Eilah is a lot like Valka and is a ‘Dragon Bandit’, but since she’s a Mud Gollum the dragons trust her easier, since they can tell she’s not a human. Dunno what type of dragon she’d ‘ride’ mainly (stands on dragons like Valka does, no saddles really). Imagining Valka reuniting with the best friend who was there for her during her weakest moments, imagine Hiccup meeting his Godmother—

Imagine Eilah invoking some of the divine energy used to create her to fight either Drago Bludvist or the Nightfury slayer, and her body crumbling in the process.

Thinking of a female Monstrous Nightmare who is smaller than average. Who was captured young by Dragon Hunters, forced to lay many eggs to be taken and sold. One of her larger horns has been sawed off to be hollowed out to be used as a battle horn, some of her spines broken off and sold for whatever use they can find, her claws forcibly dulled to keep her from clawing at the Hunters. It is cold and salty on the seas, in the Hunter ship, her scales are dulled and her kerosene gel does not replenish easy. She cannot roar due to scarring and weakness, and her body long ago started increasing the amount of eggs she laid since so few ever stayed with her and fewer survived— such large clutches are dangerous due to her size and weakness.

Thinking of her being found; either on one of the ships or on the island of dragons who were covered in scars from Hunters. (RTTE, S2, EP:8&9) She’s smaller than she should be, her wings are too weak to carry her long distances. She doesn’t like humans, not at all, so the dragons need to approach without their riders.

Bet they call her ‘Big Momma’ (she may be small, but she will not let you call her ‘small’. Gets hissy and growly if called small) or ‘Firefly’ when she’s less afraid of people— and she likes Hookfang most (Her own kind, he’s proven to be a good dad and protective of females of his species too), and I just think they need more disabled dragons that can’t be aided with prosthetic like Toothless.

amusing myself by thinking about how funny it'd be for greedling to show up in xing after everything & just. show off his new immortality to everyone in the palace. like can you imagine being the first born son & thinking "okay, immortality's a stretch, but i'm sure i can get my servants to bring back some healing herbs, and if i play my cards right, i can convince our dad into making me the next king" only for this actual TEENAGER who you have presumably been trying to murder since he was born to show up & be like "ya i did it lol"

so you go, okay, not great, it appears he may be actually immortal, but if i can convince everyone he's LYING, maybe i can humiliate him so badly he exiles himself. only for may to show up with her envy jar & go "dad i brought you a pet he's evil and immortal do you like him" so now you have to deal with that too

It hurt us both to see how you'd blood kill down a character that they made, and we are afraid we soon receive arts and fics about making Aster a really bad guy which we wish not to see.

Please from now on don't send comments you wannna kill Aster, nor we'd like to NOT receive any fic or art about someone beating them up or make them a hardcore villain

Dumb fun fact: Like 95% of my ocs have no canon sexuality lol. I'm aroace, I don't feel the need to have a relationship nor do I have... a concept of attraction, and that kinda bleeds in to my ocs. Relationships aren't a major focus in all but 2 or 3 of my oc's, both of which are a couple shock horror. That's my ocs Alan and Lee it's a major part of their story, not the main focus though but it's cute.

But cus of my... non-existant understanding of relationships they're the outlier and me trying to.... figure out what relationships are through my oc's. I lnow it's good to have oc's of different genders, ethnicies, sexualties, cultures ect ect, and most everything else is actually pretty diverse, buuuut almost all of my ocs are unintentionall aro/ace coded lmao.

after just over 2 years of work, i finished the Ace Jon Quilt.

inspired by @/speakerunfolding's fanart of jon jarchivist sims with an ace-colors quilt, which was so sweet and cozy and which is still one of my favorite pieces of jon artwork. anything unsightly in this quilt is original to my work; the fanart is adorable and lovely, 10/10, no notes.

as previously mentioned, i've been working on this quilt since late 2022, which means i started it when i was still pretty new to quilting. i batch-cut a bunch of pieces for the the gray squares, and they were a quarter inch too small, which doesn't sound like it should be a big deal! but it sure was! there is....... not as much lining up of the squares as there should be, and it does not lie particularly flat.

it's also the biggest quilt i've made - approx 7 x 9 feet. actually quilting it was a pain in the ass, which is why i didn't do as much of it as i probably should, but i love quilting with decorative stitches. i backed it with bubble/double gauze which i didn't want to put through the machine, so i did most of the quilting on the top and batting and tacked it to the backing by hand. the green thread is because, you know, tma, and also because why not throw some aro + agender garnish on the ace quilt?

ANYWAY. all the yapping to say. i love this quilt. it's messy and imperfect and i worked on it through a nearly month-long cold/headache to finish it, it's essentially all i've done since christmas besides sleep and watch arcane. don't look too close at anything about it except for the parts that i was not necessarily responsible for, but also......... look at it !!! this is currently my masterpiece and i can't wait to cuddle up underneath it properly.

bro it would have been so cool if oro was actually disabled. like there's that part of lightlark where he's like "dying" and his arm turns grey and whatever. and he like faints and stuff. but it would have been way cooler if oro had just been straight up disabled from the beginning.

it would be awesome if the sexy lead was disabled??? like that would be a win imo tbh. like even if i still didn't like lightlark. I would give it props if one of the boys was a disabled man that was still portrayed as desirable

it would have been so cool to have a disabled lead in a fantasy novel. like cmon it can't just be me and robin hobb in the room /j /j /j there are fantasy novels with disabled leads. side note if you know any please send me an ask and reccomend them to me im so hungry

it would have been really cool. just straight up. it would be cool to see the way that the king is connected to the land. It would have fit in with some of the ideas of like. birthright and the connection to the land that aster hinted at but didn't explore. Because lightlark is fundamentally about getting some hot shadow magic dick unfortunately. (not a sin just. dissapointing when she keeps dropping interesting ideas to simp after grim)

like. a more interesting book could take the idea of being connected to the land like that (and books have, just can't summon to mind a good example atm-- wait the fisher king in arthurian legend. literally. the land is dying so the king is dying the king is dying so the land is dying)

like that's such a cool thing ! ! ! ! sigh. i will have to write a good story about it sometime

Toni Collette did such a good job in Hereditary. Her monologue at the dinner table is so good, so gut-wrenching, so raw just like her screams of grief and horror when she finds Charlie. And then Alex Wolff did such a good job as Peter. The whole cast did amazing.
